The Energy of Colour — What It Really Means

In my last post I talked about the Energy of Colour, but I realised ... Fiona you need to tell them more about the Energy of Colour so , if you havent read the last post - go read it now as it starts with Butter Yellow... even the sound of it makes me think of gorgeous creamy butter on hot toast.... But I always think about food..

So anyway let me shed some more light on The Energy of Colour and is it a thing.

Colour isn’t just visual — it’s vibrational. Every colour you wear carries its own energy, and that energy affects how you feel, how you show up, and how others respond to you.

It’s why some outfits make you feel unstoppable, while others somehow dull your spark. The colours you wear send silent messages — shaping how you’re perceived and how you connect.

Here’s a little look at the four core energies of colour and what they bring into your world:

🔴 Power Energy

Confident • Authoritative • Bold

These colours command presence. They say “I’m here, and I mean business.”Think deep reds, espresso, golden mahogany, and terracotta — perfect for days when you need strength and assertiveness.

🟠 Excitement Energy

Creative • Warm • Magnetic

These are your “lift the mood” colours. They spark joy, movement, and approachability.Coral, peach, marigold, and bright turquoise all carry this buzz — perfect for social settings or when you need a boost of motivation.

🔵 Compassion Energy

Trustworthy • Gentle • Empathetic Soft pinks, peach, blush, and warm rose help you feel open, calm, and connected. They communicate kindness and help others feel safe around you — beautiful for building relationships or softening a look.

🟢 Harmony Energy

Grounded • Balanced • Calm

Sage, olive, caramel, and camel create peace and stability. These colours help you stay centred, calm the nervous system, and project reliability — perfect for grounding days or when life feels busy.

Every colour you wear tells a story — and that story can shift your energy. When you start dressing with colour intentionally, you begin to align how you look with how you want to feel.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing how the colours of Summer 2025 — Butter Yellow (already done!), Mocha Mousse, Airy Blue, Peachy Pinks, Muted Greens, and Citrus Pops — each carry their own unique vibration.

We’ll explore what they mean, how to wear them, and how to harness their energy to create your own wardrobe magic. ✨
